Mother from the bayou's of Louisiana and father from the urban streets of Indiana, T'rae's sound and creativity is as diverse as the climates from which his lineage hails from.

T'rae Brooks spending most of his adolescence in a small town by the name of Oakdale, was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and now resides in New Orleans, LA.

T'rae was born 3rd of 7 siblings and began his musical journey at birth. T'rae's parents met in the Grambling State University Marching Band (father playing snare drum, and mother playing clarinet). From inside the womb T'rae was always surrounded by music. Upon his arrival T'rae was given drumsticks and drum keys which served as newborn toys that later became imprinted in his identity and subsequently his logo.

After graduating high school with a slew of National and state awards in Percussion T'rae Brooks went on to march and dance for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's (ULL's) Pride of Acadiana's Marching Band and "An Evening Of Dance" (ULL's Premier fall Dance Concert).

However, after feeling that school wasn't the best way to learn for his learning type, T'rae set off for life to be his Classroom.

T'rae began his professional journey playing drumset and dancing for local musicians, churches, and festivals serving as drum tech for the nations largest free music and arts festival "Festival International" (2013-2016), and dancing for different events around Louisiana.

T'rae Brooks went on to book his first national commercial with Nike. This opened doors into the dancing world, where he continued to hone his craft by assisting for "JUMP Dance Convention" in New Orleans, which opened up an opportunity to train in Los Angeles.

T'rae Brooks trained in dance studios such as "Playground LA", "Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio", and "Millennium Dance Complex".

Another opportunity for T’rae to hone his performance, audio engineering, and production ability was to meet and learn from Grammy winning musicians, producers, and Engineers, Stacey Lamont Sydnor, and Misha Kachkachishvili. Misha, and Stacey has worked with everyone from The Jacksons to Earth, Wind and Fire, to Kendrick Lamar, to John Batiste, and being able to learn from them was and is an invaluable experience to T’rae.

T'rae Brooks is now a Recording Artist and Resident Producer and Sound Engineer at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans, LA  working with industry leaders such as AMC, Hulu, Disney, and Most Recently Amazon Prime's "Daisy Jones and The Six"  where he served as Music Director over the shooting taking place in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

T'rae plans to continue focusing on pursuing his career as a well rounded artist with a forever love of the performing Arts.

When asked why does he do so much, T'rae responds "I want you to explain to someone who has no legs why you wont walk, or someone who has no eyes why you wont see, or someone who has no ears why you wont listen. I believe if you can, not only should you but it's almost like a slap in the face of those who truly can't. Who am I to limit myself when I have been given so much.

"Everyone has been told you can do whatever you put your mind to... I just believe it"
